BASTROP – The Cedar Creek High School varsity football team fought hard on Friday, Sept. 22 in the Eagles’ 5A-2 District 13 opener vs. Lockhart High School at Bastrop ISD Memorial Stadium. Unfortunately, a second-half rally by the visiting Lions was too much to overcome as the Eagles fell 42-20.Cedar Creek jumped out to a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter when junior quarterback Dillon Dubee scored from one yard out on a sneak up the middle.
