HUNTSVILLE — The Cedar Creek High School boys varsity cross country team was represented at a very high level Monday, Oct. 23 as Eagles senior standout runner Alejandro Ruiz was the lone entry for the program at the 5A Region 3 championship meet held on the campus of Sam Houston State University at Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park in Hunstville.With a time of 16:09.44 in the boys’ 5,000-meter run, Ruiz cracked the top 10 in a large field of 181 entries at regionals Monday with a seventh-place finish that put him through to the upcoming state championship meet.
