The Elgin High School girls varsity basketball team under Head Coach Chris Tibbets picked up its first pair of 5A-District 23 wins this past week.The Lady Wildcats were at home Jan. 9 and crushed Cedar Creek High School 47-17 and went on the road Saturday, Jan. 13 and won a 35-32 defensive battle against Bastrop High School.Elgin locked in all game against Cedar Creek and did not allow the visiting Lady Eagles to get much of anything going on offense.
