BASTROP — The Bastrop High School varsity softball team started its 2024 season off with a bang this past week as the Lady Bears went 5-2.After the Lady Bears opened the season with a resounding 19-0 victory Feb. 13 at Giddings High School, Bastrop competed Feb. 15-17 at the Killeen Invitational tournament.Bastrop had a 4-2 record in Killeen as the Lady Bears were edged 1-0 by Georgetown Gateway College Preparatory School, bounced back with a 15-0 shutout victory over Waco High School, fell 4-0 to Leander Glenn High School, ground out a 3-2 win against Gatesville High School, a 3-0 ...
