Last week, kids and young teens from second grade to high school freshmen worked with Elgin High School Football coaching staff to learn fundamentals of football while having fun.
The kids were split into three age groups: second through sixth grade, seventh and eight grade, and ninth grade.
On Tuesday, the first day of the three-day camp, the youngest group of children had the chance to work with defensive coaching staff to learn position specific fundamentals and tackling techniques. They also learned different drills and kicking or special teams’ activities.
