FRISCO – The Elgin Ladycats powerlifting team has been a force to be reckoned with all season long, and it finally paid off as they walked away with a ton of hardware from the state championship meet. The Ladycats earned a second-place trophy as a team, and got to that point because of the outstanding individual effort from their competitors.Starting off the meet was Elizabeth Nunez, who claimed second place in the 114-weight class to give her team a slight edge to start the meet.
