The Elgin High School girls varsity basketball team had several players who were named to the 5A-District 23 all-district team.Lady Wildcats standout senior Jaylan Roberson was named a first-team all-district selection, while the sophomore duo of Trinity Martinez and Sharmonique Williams was named second-team all-district. Elgin junior Sabra Baker was an all-district honorable mention.Academic all-district award winners for the Lady Wildcats were Roberson, Martinez, Williams and freshman Emma Lugala.Elgin, under Head Coach Chris Tibbets, finished the 2023-24 season with a 12-21 overall record and a 5-9 mark in district play.
