Last Tuesday the Bastrop Bears baseball team couldn’t get on track as they fell on the road to the Taylor Ducks 2-0.
The Bears were able to only muster five hits in the game and never crossed home plate.
R Hibbs was the high hitter for the Bears, going 2-for-3 with a double and a single.
While pitching was strong on both sides, the Ducks managed to book end their runs, scoring in the bottom of the first and the bottom of the sixth.
The Bears’ record now stands at 3-2 heading into their tournament March 11-13.
