Residents of Bastrop and Lee counties can drop off their household hazardous waste at the county’s Hazardous Waste Disposal Center, 109 Taylor Street in Smithville, on September 18 from 9 a.m. to noon.A voucher is required and must be completed prior to the event, and address verification with a utility bill or valid ID is required at time of drop-off. Household hazardous waste includes latex and oil-based paint, household cleaners and other chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides and pool chemicals.
