The yard of Randy and Melissa Swenson at 1001 Ave. F has been selected as the Elgin Garden Club’s yard of the month for July.In honor of their son Trey Randall Swenson, 19952022, this “remembrance garden” contains a spectacular Crepe Myrtle tree with the wind chimes and bird feeder that he hung.Planted around the year 2000, when the Swensons moved into their home, the tree shelters a continually changing array of flowers.
