The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) recently announced two major drug seizures with associated arrests: one on U.S. Highway 290 and another at a house in Bastrop.
On September 10 around 10:30 p.m., a BCSO deputy working traffic enforcement on Highway 290 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, according to a post from Bastrop County Sheriff Maurice Cook released on September 11 on the BCSO Facebook Page. The driver did not have a driver’s license, and after an investigation, about 23 pounds of crystal methamphetamine worth over $100,000 were discovered and seized.
