The Bastrop County Commissioners Court has begun the process of discussing with the City of Bastrop the possibility of relocating two Confederate monuments to a Bastrop park.
After a month of debate this summer about two monuments with ties to the Confederacy at the Bastrop County Courthouse, the court approved their relocation in July and created a committee to oversee the process. The committee’s duties include finding a new site for the monuments.
