The City of Elgin is on track to acquire the needed land to widen the first part of County Line Road, although two parcels required the start of eminent domain proceedings.During the Elgin City Council’s March 15 meeting, the council discussed and voted on six items regarding acquiring the necessary land for the first phase of the County Line Road project, which includes widening the road to add additional lanes.
