Two seats on the Elgin Independent School District Board of Trustees expire in May, and four people will compete in the May 4 election.District 3, currently held by Beth Walterscheidt, is up for election. Walterscheidt filed for re-election and will be challenged by Julissa Kyle.The other seat up for election is District 6, currently held by Valarie Neidig.
