BASTROP – The body of a Colorado River swimmer was recovered Wednesday morning, the third drowning-related death this season, according to the Bastrop Police Department.Dispatchers responded to a water assist call July 3 around 11 a.m. after reports that an individual went under and had not resurfaced.With assistance from the Lower Colorado River Authority and first responders, search and rescue efforts were successful in finding the deceased adult male just south of State Highway 71.
