BASTROP — Come have a taste of soups made by chefs, see artistic bowls and help a good cause at the 19th annual Bastrop Empty Bowl, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry.The Bastrop Empty Bowl event provides attendees an opportunity to sample soups, stews and chilies prepared by some of Bastrop’s best chefs in a “battle of the ladles” for bragging rights.Celebrity judges will tag bests in each category, and attendees will vote for their fan favorite.
