According to a Facebook post by the City of Elgin, the “no through truck traffic” signs were put into place on March
27. With some exceptions, as outlined by the ordinance passed by the Elgin City Council on February 5, trucks and trailers of over 30,000 pounds are prohibited to travel on Main Street.
