For the second week in a row, the Elgin boys' varsity soccer team battled the elements and district foes.
On Tuesday, February 11, the ‘Cats hosted the Hutto Hippos at Wildcat Stadium. Due to weather conditions, the varsity game was moved up to 5:30 p.m.
Hutto struck early and often, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of play. Elgin struggled to move the ball down the field and keep up with Hutto’s speed on the outside. The Hippos added one more goal before half, making the score 3-0 at the midpoint.
