Lady Cats take losses in first district games

The Elgin Wildcats girls’ basketball team started their district season the week before Christmas facing the Lady Eagles at Georgetown and the Lady Mustangs of Manor at home. On Tuesday, December 17, the Lady Eagles came out strong, and at the end of the first quarter, were leading 19-8. They continued to play well and outscored the Lady Cats in the second (39-23) and third (58-36) quarters as well.
