Last Tuesday, the Elgin Wildcats Girls’ basketball team began their 2019 season against the Lady Ducks of Taylor with an early 5:00 p.m. game. The Lady Cats got on the board first by hitting a few single baskets quickly, but the Ducks answered and were ahead by two points at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Cats played aggressively in the second and third quarters with Kerrington Holiday, Anaya Freemen and Tasha Stafford getting the rebounds and capitalizing on Taylor mistakes with steals to change possession.
