As the lone McDade High School representative at the 2022 UIL 1A State Track & Field Championships, senior Anthony Cottrill put on yet another marvelous performance at Austin’s Mike A. Myers Stadium, earning second place in the 200-meter dash finals, second place in the triple jump finals, and fifth place in long jump.Among a field consisting of more than 80 teams, Cottrill’s standout Saturday showing was enough to earn McDade 18 total points and a tie for ninth place alongside Cherokee High School.Track & Field was far from the only sport in which Cottrill excelled during his final high school ...
