Elgin High School head baseball coach Edward Stringer was hired to fill the same position at Hutto High School last Wednesday, the coach reported to the Courier.To this point, he has spent his entire teaching and coaching career in Elgin.Stringer, who has been with Elgin ISD for a total of eight years, established a 36-20 district record over five seasons as the Wildcats’ head baseball coach.
