Bastrop falls short in overtime thriller

The Bastrop Bears found themselves on the wrong end of another tightly contested battle last Friday against Westwood, losing 49-42 in overtime. The Bears fell to 0-3 on the season; all of their matchups have gone down to the wire and they could very easily be 3-0 instead. The Bears passing attack continued to thrive against Westwood and has been one of the consistent bright spots for the team.
