Susan Reavis

Susan Reavis, 71, of Taylor, TX, passed away on Sunday, May 16 in Bartlett, TX.

Sue was born on February 21, 1951 to William Donald and Anna Kathryn Happy Reavis.

Sue graduated Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL earning her BSN, 1984.  After graduating Olivet, she earned her CNM from Georgetown University in 1988 and did her student work and practiced at Beth Israel Hospital in NYC before moving to Boston where she practiced for 6 years.  Sue moved to Phoenix, Arizona to a midwifery practice there.

While in Phoenix, Sue found her second passion, raising Australian Cattle Dogs.  Later, she moved to Taylor, Texas and began a successful career showing and raising Cattle Dogs.  While in Taylor she was a member of the Lyons Club volunteering her time and talents.  She spent the final years enjoying her dogs and expanding her breeding skills to include Pumis.

Sue is survived by her three brothers:  Bill (Widowed, Sue) Tempe, AZ; Paul Reavis (Liza) San Francisco, CA; and Andy (Diana) and their two kids Aleks (Jessica Schmidt) and Bailey. Sue was proceeded in death by her parents Anna Kathryn Happy and William Donald Reavis, both of Richmond, MO.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local humane society or pet rescue.  Memorial plans have not been finalized. Services will include cremation.
