Ruby Mae Schlab Stiba

Ruby Mae Schlab Stiba, age 81, of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020. She was born in Elgin, Texas on June 5, 1938 to her parents, Johnnie Frank Schlab and Ellanora Neidig.

Ruby attended and graduated from Elgin High School before going further in her education and receiving an Associate’s Degree from Nixon-Clay Business School. She married the love of her life, Franklin M. Stiba, on April 8, 1961.

Ruby worked in business and accounting for Texas Real Estate Commission, Employees Retirement System, and Texas State Plumbing Board. She was also a valued member of St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas.

Ruby was a woman of many talents and hobbies such as sewing, crafts, cooking, bible study, gardening, and donating crafts to Cattlemen for Cancer Research. But mostly, she loved being around her family. She was a caring and loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, and she will be truly missed by her family, friends, and anyone else that was blessed with her love.

Ruby is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Franklin Stiba; her children, Lynette Stiba Bohls, Franklin Stiba, II, and Christian Stiba; her grandchildren, Matthew Bohls, Brittney Bohls, Eve Stiba, and Bree Stiba; and her brothers, Joe and Tony Schlab.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2020 at St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas followed by a committal service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
