Leah Rae Olson Wilder

Leah Rae Olson Wilder died on August 5, 2021, in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in New Sweden, Texas, and attended Elgin High School. She majored in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She was an accomplished pianist, a radio and television personality, and a school teacher. She is survived by her partner, David Hotchkiss, her son John Rowland Wilder and wife Kimberly, her daughter Sara Wilder Clark and husband Colin, and grandchildren Alexander Wilder and Wilder Clark. She was pre-deceased by her eldest daughter, Tanya Elizabeth Wilder. A graveside service will be held at the New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery on Friday, September 3, at 6:00 p.m., with a reception in Austin to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the New Sweden Evangelical Lutheran Church.
