Jewel Elizabeth Johnson, or Beth as she was known by all, was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and joyful grandmother. A lifelong resident of Elgin, Beth died in her home on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the age of 99. Beth was born on February 20, 1920 to Lewis and Mary Iva Fisher. After graduating from high school, she married Arville Johnson on November 10, 1938. They celebrated 64 years of marriage together before his death in 2003.
