Elsie Irene Detrick

Elsie Irene Detrick of Austin, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021. She was born in McDade, Texas on November 5, 1930, to Betha and Henry Wolf. She was an accomplished Auditor of Travis County for 25 years and retired in 1997. Elsie was a caring and generous mother who always put everyone needs before her own. Her home was always open to all and provided shelter to anyone in need. She was an active member in the church and a devoted follower in Jesus Christ. She always loved to play cards and enjoyed a good hand of 42 dominoes. She also enjoyed gardening and growing roses.

Elsie is survived by her son, Paul Detrick of Round Rock; grandson, Justin Detrick of Austin; granddaughter, Crystal Mahan of Belen, MN, Aunna Detrick of San Marcos; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Detrick will lie In-State at Elgin Funeral on Friday, November 19th from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family will gather for a Graveside service at Siloah Cemetery of McDade on Saturday, November 20th at 2:00 PM.
