Christa Prewitt

Christa was called Home, on Monday afternoon, January 27, 2020. Christa was born September 30 1949 in Meisenheim, Germany to Herman Neimann and Johanna Katherine Edinger Neimann. In 1977, Christa moved herself and her two daughters, Christine and Daniela to the United States. Christa fell in love with George Prewitt and they married on March 13, 1987.

Christa loved to buy, sell, and restore antiques. She also enjoyed helping with the McDade German club as well as too many other activities to list.

She is survived by her husband of over 32 years, George Prewitt; her two daughters, Christine and her husband Lee Stewart and Daniela Ignal; her eight grandchildren, Cody Shepard, Ashley Adams, Ethan Carvajal, Amanda Stewart, Rebekah Parnell, Bethany Stewart, Katrina Ignal, and Spencer Ignal; her three great-grandchildren, Scarlett Edson, Eli Parnell and Baby Shepard who’s expected in March; her brother-in-law, Joe Prewitt and his wife Susan, and their children, Brandon Prewitt and wife Melanie Prewitt, Justin Davis, Holly Hodges, Heather Davis, and Brianna Ballenger; and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service, to Celebrate Christa’s Life, at the Elgin Funeral Home, on Friday, February 7th at 6:00 PM. Arrangements and care are entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home.
