Charles “Charlie” Alan Taylor

Charles “Charlie” Alan Taylor, age 61, of Elgin, Texas peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 surrounded by many family and friends who loved him.

Charlie was born August 20, 1957 in Elgin, Texas to Harry and Lenora Taylor. He graduated from Manor High School in 1975 and joined the work force soon thereafter. Over the years, Charlie lived in surrounding Texas areas including Elgin, Belton, Georgetown, Manor, and Pflugerville. Throughout his lifetime he was proud to have been a polka DJ, an insurance salesman and a painter/contractor, to name a few. Charlie loved many things including spending time with his family and friends, reading, singing karaoke and country dancing.

Charlie married Vicki Nelson Taylor in 1981 and over the years, proudly showed off his three handsome boys, Trevor, Clayton and Daniel. Although their union did not remain, Charlie’s family was his pride and joy. Charlie had an incredibly sharp wit, an amazing sense of humor and a warm personality that could light up a room. To know Charlie was to love Charlie.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Lenora Lane Taylor, his father, Harry Alexander Taylor and his nephew, Matthew Wayne Taylor.

In his immediate family, Charlie is survived by his dedicated sons and their wives, Trevor Alan Taylor (Ashley) of Damon, Texas; Clayton Randall Taylor (Michelle P.) of Round Rock, Texas; and Daniel Anders Taylor (Michelle W.) of Leander, Texas. In addition, Charlie is survived by his beautiful grandchildren, Elianna Christine Taylor, Joseph Nelson Taylor and Maverick Anders Taylor.

Charlie is also survived by his loving siblings and their spouses including Carolyn Thurman (Gerald) of Manor, Texas; Harry David Taylor (Mary) of Pflugerville, Texas; Gordon Taylor (Pam) of Coupland, Texas; Sharon Taylor Weaver of Georgetown, Texas; Kenneth Taylor (Jackie) of Pflugerville, Texas; Rhonda Sing (Bryan Haun) of Taylor, Texas; and Cynthia Crim (Ronny) of Elgin, Texas. Lastly, Charlie is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
