Traffic changes at EHS

There’s new direction at Elgin High School, literally.Here is the new traffic pattern at Elgin High School through at least the rest of the school year.   Courtesy graphic / Elgin ISD

High school students and parents will have different road paths for the rest of the school year.Construction on Elgin High School bond projects began affecting traffic flow Tuesday, March 28. The impact is expected to last through late 2024Student parking will be diverted northwest near the campus baseball and softball fields. Parking in the northeast lot, normally for students, will be for parent drop-off lanes and construction areas only. Construction areas will be fenced off for safety. The bond projects affecting traffic were part of the $182.76 million in costs approved by Elgin residents in the bond election last November and the 2021 district bond improvement plan.
