Next week, the Bastrop County Commissioners Court will receive a presentation from Texas Representative John Cyrier recognizing the county’s hospitality towards the local film industry.
Bill HCR131, authored by Cyrier and sponsored by Texas Senator Kirk Watson, designates Bastrop County as the “Film Hospitality Capital of Texas” for a ten-year period, beginning this year. The bill was unanimously approved by both the House and the Senate in May and was officially signed by Governor Greg Abbott on May 28.
