Police investigate attempted child abduction

The Elgin Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in a reported failed child abduction. According to announcements posted to EPD’s Facebook page, police were dispatched to the north side of the city on the afternoon of Friday, June 28 after a report of an attempted child abduction. A mother was outside with her child when the suspect grabbed the three-year-old. She prevented the abduction by fighting with the subject, biting him on the arm.
