Holiday breaks, early release dates and graduation plans were recently solidified at Elgin Independent School District’s Jan. 23 board meeting. The Elgin ISD Board of Trustees approved the instructional year calendar for 2023-24, and the changes will be in effect starting in July.  "We're happy to get our instructional calendar to parents and staff,” said district spokesperson Marcial Guajardo, “so they may begin planning their year ahead around it.” Next school year, students and staff will be off Nov. 20-24 for Thanksgiving break, Dec. 18-Jan. 2 for winter break and March 11-15 for spring break.
