County distributes water during storm aftermath

In the midst of widespread water outages and boil water notices due to last week’s unusual and devastating winter weather, Bastrop County has been distributing both drinking water and non-potable water since Saturday. On Saturday, Bastrop County Precinct 4 Commissioner Donna Snowden, Molly Alexander from The Owl and David Glass from Elgin General Store worked together to provide a water fill-up station. The water truck, and 2,000 gallons of water, was parked in front of Elgin General Store. The water was non-potable, but could be used for drinking and cooking if boiled.
