National Guard soldiers will be back in Bastrop this week as part of a regional multi-day competition. Last Monday, the Bastrop County Commissioners’ Court approved a resolution to welcome the regional Best Warrior competition to Bastrop County. The state competition has been hosted by Camp Swift Training Center in Bastrop County for the past eight years; the 2021 competition was held during the first week of March.
