The burn ban order in Bastrop County has been extended through December 14. On Thursday, October 29, Bastrop County Judge Paul Pape signed an emergency burn ban order due to continued dry conditions. The emergency order lasted until the following Thursday, at which point the Bastrop County Commissioners Court held a special meeting to extend the burn ban until November 23. During their most recent meeting on Monday morning, November 23, the court voted to approve another extension, which lasts until their next regular meeting.
