Local taxpayers will soon receive an appraisal notice from the Bastrop Central Appraisal District. The district is mailing notices on April 15 to those property owners in which the market value increased by more than $1,000. The city, county, school district and other local taxing units will use the appraisal district’s value to set tax rates for the 2019 property taxes.
“We encourage individuals to review the estimated market value on their notice. They can also review the values on our website, www.bastropcad.org, by utilizing the property search feature,” said Richard Petree, interim chief appraiser for the district.
