First presumptive COVID-19 case detected in Elgin, third in county

The Bastrop County Health Authority confirmed March 28, 2020 the first presumptive positive test for the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) within the City of Elgin. This is the third positive case announced in Bastrop County; and is the first as a result of sampling done at the County’s test site. The 31-year old female patient is a city resident and is quarantined in her home under a doctor’s care.
