County officials will soon begin figuring out how to spend about $17 million in federal stimulus funds in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. About $17 million in funds from the American Rescue Plan, an act that passed the U.S. Congress last month and a part of which is set aside to help local governments cover costs of the pandemic and begin an economic recovery, have been designated for Bastrop County.
