Bastropians celebrated Juneteenth last weekend with a variety of events celebrating the history of Bastrop and the holiday. The weekend of events began with the annual Recognition Dinner on Friday night, where the members of the community who have committed years of support and public service to the Bastrop community are acknowledged.
