Trash Art Week program wins award

On Friday, the Elgin Parks and Recreation teams went to the regional Texas Recreation and Parks Society Conference, where they were awarded the Arts & Humanities Programming Achievement award at the local level. This award recognizes departments with outstanding Arts and Humanities programs that promote the cultural arts in the community. The Trash Art Week contests and crafts were created to reframe how the community sees the trash we generated.
