On Labor Day Weekend ahead of the 20th anniversary of September 11, the Thin Blue Line Foundation presented the first “Backin’ the Badges Rally” in Bastrop to honor first responders, military warriors and front-line workers. The rally at Fisherman’s Park on Friday and Saturday evenings, September 3 and 4, featured live music, vendors and more.Saturday also began with an “Honor Ride for Heroes,” a motorcycle ride in honor of law enforcement.
