Elgin Chamber of Commerce President, Gena Carter, has decided to retire after proudly serving the community for 19 years. Carter looks forward to traveling and spending more time with family.

The Chamber will also be looking to fill voids in other areas, as two other members will be stepping down in addition to Carter. This includes Director of Tourism and Marketing, Sonia Browder, and Vice President of Membership and Communication, Kristan Green-Bettes. Community Engagement and Special Event Coordinator Veronica Seever will continue working at the Chamber.

Carter assures that the Chamber is in a good place despite all of the recent change due to the “strong program of work and a marketing platform developed.” Stay tuned for future coverage as the Chamber navigates these changes and seeks new members.
