Hogeye festival to offer wide variety of activities

Old farm implement collection One of the truly unique exhibits on display at the Hogeye Festival is the old farm implement collection.  Franklin Boettcher began this exhibit at Hogeye about five years ago with his implement seats. These iron seats were used with horse-drawn plows during the last half of the 19th century, prior to farmers using tractors for plowing, and he now has accumulated about 220 of them.  Boettcher is a member of the Central Texas Old Iron Collectors group, which is part of the national organization.
