On Saturday, the Family Worship Center, a church on FM 1704 south of Elgin, gave away hundreds of 19- pound boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to families in vehicles driving through their parking lot. The church distributed a total of around 1,500 produce boxes and served over 1,000 households with both food and prayer.
