Soft Touch Ministry at the Elgin Church of Christ began its works of love in January 2010 as a part of Lifeline Chaplaincy. Their work continues with an even more widespread service to sick and hurting children and adults, as well as newborns. Just ask the owner of an Ouch Buddy how the love flows and you’ll soon learn how they transfer their pain to the pillow with a hug.
Chaplaincy, a volunteer program at the M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, started in 1983. In 2010, the service spread to Central Texas hospitals with the Soft Touch Ministries.
