A little over a year after the pandemic halted the usual bustle of Medieval-themed activity in a piece of the woods between McDade and Paige, Sherwood Forest Faire is back—with masks required, social distancing encouraged and sanitizing practices implemented. The Sherwood Forest Faire season was cut short last year in mid-March when COVID-19 hit central Texas. This year, the McDade-based Renaissance festival decided to delay the season by one month in order to allow more people to be vaccinated first.
